Maison Klipfel was created in 1824 by Martin Klipfel and is today a family business of 40 hectares.
In 1830, Martin acquired the prestigious Clos Zisser.
His son and grandson, Eugène and Louis Klipfel, brought significant growth to the Maison.
They were among the first to produce Late Harvests and Sélections de Grains Nobles on Clos Zisser and Kirchbergde Barr in 1921, more than sixty years before the official designation of these two mentions.
