A classic red grape variety from Campania.
Ruby red in color, it offers fruity aromas of cherry, black cherry, artemisia, and thyme. Youthful and vibrant, it is a medium-bodied wine with a smooth texture and a balanced finish marked by pronounced notes of black cherry.
From estate vineyards in Montefalcione and Lapio, Fiano grapes are harvested in the first ten days of October. Cold maceration is followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature. The resulting wine undergoes careful ageing on fine lees for several months in stainless steel tanks.
Born from carefully selected Greco grapes grown on estate-owned land in Santa Paolina, nestled in the breathtaking natural setting of Castelmozzo—where, in 1978, the first 8 hectares were purchased—this area marks the starting point of the rebirth of viticulture in Irpinia, a land with exceptional vocation. If angels bridge the gap between earth and sky, then these could only be the Terre degli Angeli—“Lands of the Angels.”
Years of careful observation of the potential of the Falanghina grape bear witness to Terredora’s continuous work in innovation and revival, aimed at enhancing the value of the region’s viticulture. Although the beauties of the Gulf of Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento, and Amalfi are not far away, the inland is a hilly, mountainous area with a continental climate, where wine has been produced since the times of the Greeks and Romans.
