The Ramandolo, made from Verduzzo grapes, is one of the most prestigious sweet passito wines in northern Italy, renowned for its aromatic complexity, intense fragrances, and rich structure. It takes its name from Ramandolo, a hamlet in Nimis located in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, at the northernmost point of Friulian viticulture.
The grapes are harvested in mid-October and dried for at least 8 weeks. After destemming and pressing, a rich and imposing must is obtained. Fermentation and maturation take place in French oak barriques, with constant battonage to enhance texture and complexity.
