Negramante is made from Negroamaro grapes grown in the heart of Salento, a region historically dedicated to producing intense and generous red wines. In this wine, Paololeo interprets the grape variety with a modern style yet faithful to Apulian tradition. The grapes are harvested when fully ripe to express the full aromatic richness of the variety. Vinification involves maceration on the skins to extract color, structure, and aromatic components; a period of aging follows, helping to balance the wine's profile while keeping the fruit at the forefront. In the glass, Negramante is distinguished by intense aromas of ripe red and black fruit, accompanied by spicy and slightly balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, soft, and rounded, with well-integrated tannins and a pleasant finish reminiscent of fruit and spices. This red wine perfectly represents the character of Negroamaro: warm, generous, and gastronomic, capable of pairing with numerous Mediterranean dishes.
