Produced in the heart of Valpolicella by Eleva, Tenzone is a traditional blend of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. After the base Valpolicella is vinified, the wine is subjected to a ripasso (ripasso) process on the Amarone pomace, a technique that enriches its structure, aromatic complexity, and flavorful depth. In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red. The aroma is broad and layered: cherries preserved in alcohol, black cherry, and blackberry intertwine with notes of sweet spices, cocoa, and light balsamic nuances. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, with ripe, well-integrated tannins. Freshness supports the structure, avoiding excessive heaviness and maintaining a dynamic and elegant palate. The finish is long, warm, and persistent, with returns of dark fruit and spice. A Ripasso that accurately interprets the terroir, ideal paired with red meats, braised meats, game, and aged cheeses.
