Leblanc-Collard's Brut Traditionnelle embodies the quintessential elegance and authenticity of the Marne Valley, where the Collard family has cultivated their vineyards for generations, in the heart of Champagne. This terroir is characterized by calcareous-clay soils and a temperate microclimate, ideal for enhancing the aromatic maturity of the grapes.
A blend of Chardonnay (30%) and Pinot Noir (70%), sourced from carefully selected estate-owned parcels.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel to preserve the freshness and varietal purity, followed by a secondary fermentation and aging on the lees for approximately 30 months. The dosage is moderate, maintaining balance and mineral tension.
Aromatic Profile
The bouquet is fine and complex, with notes of white flowers, ripe yellow fruit, candied citrus, and bread crust. The finish reveals hints of hazelnut and honey, typical of aging on the lees.
Tasting
On the palate, it is harmonious and well-balanced, with a fine and persistent perlage. The Chardonnay adds freshness and vitality, while the Pinot Noir adds structure and depth. The finish is savory, elegant, and persistent, with a pleasant creamy sensation.
Food Pairings
Perfect as a refined aperitif, it pairs well with raw seafood, fish carpaccio, shellfish, seafood risotto, and dishes featuring white meats or creamy cheeses.
